Dr. LaKisha Green Ed.D.

Early Childhood Development Advisor

Dr. LaKisha Green, Ed.D., serves as the dedicated Executive Board President for The Metallic Sunflower Foundation Inc., where she infuses her passion for youth empowerment and holistic wellness into programs that nurture creativity, resilience, and community connection among underserved young minds. A resilient Houston-based entrepreneur, educator, and former maternal-child health nurse, Dr. Green has transformed personal hardships—including navigating divorce, homelessness, and financial struggles as a single mother of three—into a thriving career blending culinary artistry with purposeful impact. As the founder and CEO of Epiphanies Dessert Studio (also known as Epiphany Treats), she delights the world with custom buttercream cakes, innovative creations like the viral “Cake in a Can”—a mess-free, travel-friendly treat—and her award-winning banana pudding, now shipping nationwide alongside travel baking services. Holding a terminal degree in Education focused on Leadership and Organizational Development, this self-taught culinarian draws from over a decade of hands-on experience and generations-deep family baking roots to mentor aspiring chefs via internships, global workshops, and curriculum design. Channeling her journey into broader good, she founded the nonprofit EUDAEMONIA to uplift youth through business education, hydroponic farming, food justice, and sustainability initiatives, while also contributing her visionary voice to the Foundation’s board. Passionate about faith, innovation, and equity, Dr. Green views desserts as “joyful, healing experiences,” reminding us, “We’re not just here to satisfy your sweet tooth—we’re here to leave a mark. And every bite tells our story.”
